Coastal communities deserve a voice
Energy projects must be judged by how they affect real communities in Astoria, Warrenton, Seaside, Tillamook, Garibaldi, and Rockaway Beach. The Oregon Coast economy depends on fisheries, tourism, ports, wildlife, and reliable power, and federal decisions should not ignore those costs.
Dr. Kahl's approach puts OR-01 communities first by weighing environmental impact, grid reliability, ratepayer costs, and local jobs before Washington, D.C. commits coastal families to projects they may have to live with for decades.

Oregon's 1st Congressional District includes Clatsop County, Columbia County, Tillamook County, most of Washington County, and part of Multnomah County, including Portland's west side.
