Email Subscription Privacy

This page explains how Supportive Oregonians, an independent informational site, handles information submitted through the “Subscribe to New Posts” form. This site is not the official Dr. Barbara Kahl campaign.

What you provide

The only information you type into the subscription form is your email address. It is used to send you an alert when Supportive Oregonians publishes a new blog article. Supportive Oregonians does not sell or rent email addresses submitted through this form.

How the subscription service works

The email subscription service is provided by Jetpack and WordPress.com, services of Automattic. To operate subscriptions and prevent abuse, those services may process your email address and limited technical data associated with the request, such as HTTP headers, your IP address and the page address used to subscribe. Confirmation and your choices

You may be asked to confirm your subscription by email. Each notification provides a way to manage your subscription or unsubscribe. Submitting the form signs you up only for new-blog-post email alerts; it does not make a donation, register you with a campaign or opt you in to unrelated messages.
